Nice sunny morning.
Bread machine is on and I need to go down early to the local garage to get a booking for something to be checked which is bothering me slightly on the car. Since I really need the car I cannot afford to take chances.
Need to go early to avoid the worst of the crowds.
The chain on a trike will be lubricated later. It tends to drip for ages even after wiping off the excess. The length under the chain gets old newspapers down to catch any drips. Oil tends to gather in the tubes and takes ages to get out.

At work, two bikes scrapped, one ready for sale.
If anyone wonders why charity shop prices aren't lower, one reason is when people use our loading ramp to dump the cr*p they don't want but can't be bothered to take to the tip. This morning I found generous citizens had donated a broken table, a grubby chair, a box of miscellaneous items, and two cushions. Most of this will have to be disposed of, and we have to pay commercial rates for the privilege.
We know from experience that items 'donated' overnight are generally rubbish, which is why people deliberately come when nobody is here.

Good morning from yet another lovely sunny and warm morning in Suffolk. The first coffee of the day has been had and the washing machine's doing its thing to a load of cycling clothing. Today will be a quiet recovery day after yesterday's very hot day out.

This year's interest has just paid out on one of my savings bonds. No spending spree unfortunately as it's been earmarked to cover the cost of the various rail tickets (when they go on sale) for my outings in October & November.

25 years married today, were going to have a cuppa and light lunch at a cafe in a bit as a small treat as its too warm for a full blown meal and its nice to go anywhere without 2 teenagers in tow .
