Having had an open invitation to visit the house I grew up in, finally got round to it on Sunday; I'd 'left home' in 1972.
The present owner has done amazing things with the place, much updating, but keeping most of the original features.
The thing that most impressed me was that she'd managed to salvage a sizeable section of wallpaper from what had been my nursery and framed it - ! :okay:
Took me straight back to about 1956 when I can still mind of my mum putting it up - ! ^_^
Wow - !

Anyone else steering clear of supermarket sandwiches at the moment? 🤔 🤮

I'm also staying clear of any form of salad just to be extra safe ^_^

In my political activist days we met members of all political shades. The communist ones were the nicest people and we had a bit of banter every time we met them. I will refrain from naming the real nasty ones who ripped down everyone elses posters and destroyed any leaflets they got their hands on. Childish really as it did not do them any good.

At Uni, the Communists were quite nice, many old fellows in suits and red ties, much like the Jehovah Witnesses, only the communists had those little cocktail weiners in bbq sauce at the meetings, and cupcakes. Although I am told the local fascists presently have the best pastries. Communists were either quite old or quite youthful at the time. Democrats historically have good bbq, Republicans better soiree type food in my neck o' the woods.

I got an election leaflet and a door knock, where they were quite persistent to ask about my voting intentions. Clearly "undecided" wasn't cutting it with them so they're coming back to 'help me decide'. I've decided I'll be out when they do.

Some people are just thick as two short planks about these things, and won't take undecided for an answer.

That could go down as "treating" over here. Could get someone into trouble if they did that sort of thing.
