Bonnie will be meeting up with her friend at Moulton field this lunchtime. They can have a proper loon around in a fenced couple of acres while the four of us humans have a natter.

Second cuppa went down well with a slice of toast and red jam

A bit of a late good morning from Suffolk where it's grey and a bit breezy, but the start of storm Isha hasn't yet reached here. Once I've had a second coffee and a slice or two of toast I'm heading off out for a couple of hours for a walk, hopefully stopping off at Lidl or Morrisons on the way back for a donut or cake treat.

Hopped on the treadmill and had a gentle 2.5 mile recovery shuffle.

Breezy the one way but nice the other.

I just bought some tarty horseradish. Tarty means grated in Polish. And chrzan means horseradish. I hope. Also, I bought 2 bottles of wine because they were on offer. However, the moment I turned out of the aisle, the basket disintegrated and dumped them onto the floor. One survived the fall, the other haemorrhaged fatally. I had to go to the other end of the store to get a new basket, retrace my steps, empty the rest of the broken basket's contents into the intact one, pick up another wine and then walk all the way back to the till where I got my replacement backet from. I can't help thinking that if Sainsburys spent less money on political donations, they'd be able to afford proper baskets.

Stroll completed - a shade over 8 miles under uniformly grey skies and with a blustery wind which was straight in my face along the seafront.

Today's treats were a pink iced ring donut and a chocolate chip cookie, with a pack of sausages and some socks also jumping into the shopping basket.

My third cuppa went down well and helped me place a few pieces into the latest jigsaw.

I am watching Ski Sunday, which today is the Hahnenkamm. They are coming down that mountain slightly faster than I did.

It took me about fifteen minutes to go down the Hahnenkamm. That was after a leisurely walk up it, taking about four hours.

New bread knife used, remarkably easy to cut today's loaf. Have never succeeded on making one that toasts well hence the purchase from Waitrose on Friday. Always just burn at the edges in the toaster.
