My bus changed its mind about taking me home and terminated early. It stopped directly opposite my favourite pub. This only adds to the delay in getting home
Constant drones from the West Wickham Air Defence Association will soon make the noise from helicopters almost unnoticeable....
Are they low flying?
If so, I might be able to help with some surface to air defenses.
Surface to surface, give them "something" to moan about. Not particularly, and I can't say I've noticed any particular increase in air traffic.
I just think they have nothing else to moan about now that the potholes are finally being filled up.

Ha! Speaking of buses... that IS another thing the WWRA are moaning about...
TfL are looking to introduce a number of limited stop services that will link up with each other and loop the London suburbs, an M25 of buses if you will... they are calling this initiative the Superloop, the services are all prefixed "SL", and there's one planned to run between Bromley and Croydon called the SL5.
The planned route bypasses West Wickham, in order to avoid congesting the already congested West Wickham High Street still further, this avoiding delays to the service. The nearest stop to WW is at the bottom end of Monks Orchard Road, just into Shirley, maybe a five minute walk from the bottom end of WW High Street.
The WWRA aren't happy, because the High Street has been bypassed. The thing is, though, if it DID run through West Wickham they'd moan about the added congestion, too, as well as the possibility of it being used to bring undesirables in from Croydon.
Ironically, most of the people here don't use the sodding buses anyway.
If the local authority would restrict through traffic on the high street to buses, that would reduce congestion, make the buses more punctual and faster, and on top of all that, give the WWRA something to moan about for about a decade.
It's part of the London Borough of Bromley, where the car is king, cyclists and young people are a nuisance, and it's still pre-1965 and they're part of Kent.
Popped into Waitrose at lunchtime, like most at that time of day in a rush. with a Lidl insulated bag to put the stuff in. Thought the bill was high and now have noted 4 x 60p bags on the end of it. Something to sort out next time.
If the buses don't use that road it may just fall further down the list of priority roads for repairing. Then they may have potholes to compain about.Ha! Speaking of buses... that IS another thing the WWRA are moaning about...
