I have just heard that my Dad was taken to hospital during the night with an irregular heartbeat (something he's had for years, but it was particularly bad last night).

Oh well, we'll wait and see what happens

I have a grandad rather like that!. last summer they fitted a pacemaker to him at 91 years old!

He has had very little majorly wrong with him over the years, except for the heart thing and diabetes that he has controlled/diminished through his diet for years.

Yep my grandfather's the same. Healthy and almost fit as a fiddle until his 90th birthday when he was diagnosed with prostrate cancer. Ordinarily it would not get treated at that she but they decided he was equivalent to a 70 year old so treated him. Hrs in remission now!

He isn't very fit, but still, he gets about.
