North Wales and the Pennines play a much larger role in our weather here, plus the local hills whilst very low cause a micro climate around this area and change the weather as it comes through the Cheshire gap. It's just weird here!
I used to tease a friend who comes from the Cheshire Plain that "no Richard,it cant be that cold,I come from the Solway Plain, now thats cold".One day we stood on top of Mow Cop,freezing to death, and I think his comment was along the lines of "warm here innit".One-nil to Richard.^_^

Mow Cop is not that far from here or where I grew up (colder being at Leek) then there is an open plain for the weather to rush across or down the Liverpool estuary and on to unhindered... Before it hits a little clump of hills that are all by themselves... Strange things then happen to the weather system.... Days when everywhere else had thick fog, we get brilliant sunshine, days when it is meant to be dry, we get our own personal clouds and rain, days when it is meant to be bone dry... It's just weird but it is nice living here!

Bit like that here in Crieff. We seem to get different weather from Perth and Auchterarder and yet we are right in the middle of them. Don't know whether the hills affect how much rain gets to us sometimes.

We noticed that as when we have been at our friends place. But my mother always taught me if it was raging in the glen you where in, simply change glens! But Perth and Pitlochry get the east coast weather much more than Crief and Kinloch Rannoch do which I think get far more west coast weather!

Trying to decide if I'll, sorry scratch that, when I'll go for a ride on my trike. We have rain, not heavy but enough to get you very we if you spend an hour or so in it at the moment and the weather system does not seen to be moving away from us! It seems to be stick on our little set of hills rotating on them! oh better not do that, I'll get wet!

Washing machine on next door. In dire need of balancing.

Wrong technology. With a washing machine the technique is to add sufficient mass to the machine so that the recommended load will not add sufficient mass to cause it to move. Trouble is, my OH hasn't read that design paper.

Why do the set up instructions say to level the machine, whilst showing how to do so by using the built in adjustable feet.

Theres enough well that's me off my bike threads going, so I'll put it here that I'm foot, car and Metrolink bound for the next couple of weeks while I recover from a little op. Wish me luck without my cycling therapy.
