I used to tease a friend who comes from the Cheshire Plain that "no Richard,it cant be that cold,I come from the Solway Plain,now thats cold".One day we stood on top of Mow Cop,freezing to death,and I think his comment was along the lines of "warm here innit".One-nil to Richard.North Wales and the Pennines play a much larger role in our weather here, plus the local hills whilst very low cause a micro climate around this area and change the weather as it comes through the Cheshire gap. It's just weird here!
