After spending two evenings with George my elderly neighbour watching the superb four and a half hour film,Streets of Laredo.I have decided to read the books.Just ordered a copy of Lonesome Dove from the Library, plus tracked the other three down to other libraries in the Leeds district.Bring it on pardner.

Now on another note.I have been chasing up my appointment with my Prostate Doctor.I was told this morning it could be around December before they see me.Well i was ready on the 23rd of Sept,to be seen,he failed to turn up.Well i have just spoken to his Secretary,a very nice and agreeable lady.Who listened to my argument i put my points quickly and to the point.Well what would you believe, someone had just cancelled their appointment for this Friday at 11-45 am.Guess who now has it.Yes Postman does. What a result.

Mrs. GA had to be in a conference all day yesterday, so both my dogs had to go to the dog day care out by the airport. Very nice, big operation, and the dogs didn't even look back when I dropped them off. They had a fine day, and Maximilian and Heidi were quite happy to see me at the end of the day. They are still so tired . Max also found a fellow snooping around the neighborhood, he hot footed it when Max started barking at him, leaving a trail of rank cigarette smoke behind . Told the watch about it. What is nice about my neighborhood is that everyone has a dog of some sort, and dog walking continues almost incessantly, around the clock, it seems.

What gets me is when something important goes wrong like they get ill or get told by the Dr that their Parkinsons is progressive ( my Dad) they don't tell you until you find out by accident. But they are OK and don't want to worry you.:banghead:
Mine does keep me informed about Dad, however when she gets called back after a routine mammogram, not a word! My Dad only knew because she dropped the letter and he picked it up. Dad refuses to accept that he is 73 and therefore it is okay to ask his two son-in-laws for help with heavy stuff, then wonders why when he has spent a day digging a tree stump out of the garden it makes him knackered for a week! I love my parents dearly, they just drive me mental, still I am very lucky they are both here to drive me out of my head so 'there but for the grace...':banghead:

I bought a box of gingerbread biscuits on the way to kindergarten with the kids today. They'll be looking forward to them.

And I've just eaten the lot. That's 1500 kcal, an unpleasantly full belly and a bad conscience. Dammit! That's why I don't keep the blasted stuff in the house.
Ginger is meant to cleanse the body though Glasshopper!;)
