I've given up smoking... it's going really well apart from the actual giving up bit.
Stick at it, I will have given up for 8 years come December. Hardest thing I ever did but so worth it. The best thing ever is taking a deep breath on a frosty morning and it not hurting.

Back from Amsterdam, blimey it's an expensive place.
I went there last month, I agree it is expensive, we loved every second of it though. Not brave enough to try cycling in the city as I think I would have died quite quickly, but we are going back!!

Thanks, you lovely people. It wouldn't be that bad if I wasn't permanently blowing my nose. I'm half way through a new toilet roll...
Are we related??

Mother and laptop sorted.

I have introduced her to Google.

The problem was that her BT icon on the laptop stopped working and she couldn't get to the home page. So I showed her how to get it via Google. I got told off as she knew about Google but wanted her BT icon back and wanted to know why it had disappeared.

I haven't a clue, not bothered either and a bit miffed she phoned me at work stressing about it and saying it was broken and she needed a new one:ohmy:

Breathe, breathe, breathe.

And it's urgent and the world will end. My MIL is the same with bloody SKY. Usually goes up the shoot when someone cleans near the box and knocks some of the mess of wires at the back (FIL had it wired into the back room somehow with no additional box). Or stuff like a bedside light hasn't been switched on by a carer - she must have it on !

Why do Mum's do this? Mine will call me at work if her freesat box stops working, how I am supposed to a) Know what is wrong with it or b) Be able to do anything about it, is beyond me.
