Morning all, another wonderfully bright and sunny start to the day.
Shame mine started at midnight...

About to put a load of washing on after checking Shaun's other site is still OK..
Then it's feed the girls time. The rooster, HP, is slowly starting to trust me, but it's going to take a while. I don't think his previous owner's handled him at all but he will now come up to me within a few feet and allow me to walk past him almost brushing him with my leg. He'll get on and feed and other rooster stuff with me around now as well which is great.

I cleared out some of the old flotsam and jetsam from my garage, including many old bicycle frames and wheels, and a tent from the 1970's. I also started paring down my old tarp collection, and many other things, in preparation for winter, and the need, for the first time in about five years, to fit two cars into the garage. I also drove some defunct appliances and the like to the electronic recycling shed, and walked the dogs before the storms hit. Then I took Mrs. GA to lunch. I also bought some more Jamaican Patties, and went to a builder's warehouse where I can get roasted, but not salted, hulled sunflower seeds. That's a mundane morning. Much of the afternoon, I slept, as it was still storming.

More like Biggles, I had no idea who that was until our resident assistant at my dorm in my first year at University called me that after seeing my name on the roster.
"We'll put Biggles up in the clouds, then,"he said,
and I got assigned to the 16th floor.

Talking of parents mine seemed generally quite good at the weekend. But I took my cordless Dyson to hoover as Mum isn't hoovering upstairs as she is worried about her one going on fire. She thought that she would be able to chuck it outside if it went on fire downstairs. It took multiple trips to the bin to empty it out there was that much dust, and I've ordered her a new one to be delivered later this week hopefully.

I just discovered a patch of cured urea-formaldehyde wood glue on the back of my right hand. It looks like I have a rather unpleasant dermatological condition.

I went out this afternoon to help bring in groceries, and a young fellow was picking through my discarded bicycle bits. One man's trash is another man's treasure. I think I may have to put some more valuable parts out next week. (I'm getting out of the bicycle refurbishing lark. More fun to ride them.)

BTW It was cheddar on brown bread, in case you were wondering.

I had sharp cheddar on old style German Pumpernickel two days ago. But I shall consider your cheddar on brown bread option, as it sounds scintillating.

I can't actually see any difference between the taste of pumpernickel and a lino floor tile. I worry about peoples' choice of bread that has a density greater than mercury.
