I don't think they like it when people cycle on the runway.
Yes, my mother wore them.I was wondering if you can get rose tinted glasses on prescription?
noooooooo...... are you squeamish? I can PM you a picture of the knee on the day and as it was yesterday. I have refrained from posting here for a very good reason, but the knee does appear to be healing well, though is still weaping. The ribs on the other hand we both think will be several weeks at least. This week is due to be wet and I have a house inspection on Wednesday, so it will be a quiet week anyhow. Probably for the best. Provided I can clear all the mucus from my lungs each day, I should be OK. Even strained intercostal muscles (the muscles between the ribs) hurt for a long time, cracked ribs hurt for longer. We will see how I am tomorrow and take it from there. I really don't want to have to sit in a car for 60-70km to be told all is well, now go home again. The journey out just to collect our latest addition to the flock was bad enough. Provided I can keep moving and breathing does not become more problematic I will monitor it. I have ABs at home so can always take those if needed and am taking extra steroids as it is to cover the body needing more to heal. plus loads of vit c and zinc and extra calcium as a precaution.
The latest addition to our flock, and hopefully the final one. (it is hopeful because we only have a 5:1 ratio chooks:roosters, not the recommended 6:1. It should be OK because there is no competition but we will see what progresses and if too much happens another will need to be added to the flock.

Sur un rocher plat!Içi c'est comme la vache qui pisse!
I just can't listen to opera, to me it just ruins perfectly good music.Maybe I just haven;t heard the right one yet but I just can;t stand the wailing vocals.
The main one is that he will very quickly break up fights between any hens which is a problem we are having with one of our new arrivals. She has tried to assume the position/role of a rooster and only separating her from the rest of the flock as settled the flock back down again. She hasn't taken well to the change in life style and now being a totally free-range hen (except at night when they have a large stable block and fully enclosed run for safety reasons). She is now settling down and has started to re-integrate into the flock and the best bit is that he has asserted his influence and I no longer feel like I am back in an all girls school! Mostly it is for them and stopping the bickering. He has settled in very quickly (90 minutes) and is very definitely the gentleman. He finds food and calls them over. He only eats after they have all eaten and then eats anything and everything left in sight. That is a huge improvement on the hens who have become very picky eaters and only eat what they really like, then they are off eating grubs and such. He also looks out over them whilst they are all dust bathing, resting or feeding. So I guess it is also their safety.Apart from the obvious, what does a rooster do with its time?
Wet here. Nursing a very sore shoulder today.
I did carry on for another two hours, but broke the mount for the SJCAM M20.
Thank you for the information. The rooster sounds like a rather chivalrous police officer. Has he been castrated to stop him interfering with his charges? Please excuse my total ignorance of all poultry matters. The main one is that he will very quickly break up fights between any hens which is a problem we are having with one of our new arrivals.
