Feeling flat.Last nigh at around 10-30 on our way home,we both realized the car did not seem to be handling well.A stop found we had a front tyre puncture.Well a change in a slip road,got us home.Mrs Postman has just texted .The garage has told her we need three new ones.She is having them seen to at the moment.Oh gawd.

I'm not long back from my bike ride and I can confirm its now changeable, lovely ride out in the sun, but on the way back I was dodging showers whilst slogging into a stiff breeze.

The flex on electrical appliances seems to get shorter all the time. Has it occurred to these people I may want to use my new kettle more than 12" away from the socket?

I took a break from writing Amazon reviews* to refill the bird feeders and am now googling images of animal dung to see if a badger was the guilty party that left me a present in my garden last night.

* a friend has written a novel. It's very good, which surprised me. However, he failed to get anyone to proof read it before (self)publication, which also surprised me. I was honest.

Somehow that is one bit of aging I'm running late on. Some of my friends started wearing reading glasses about 10 years ago..... I am sure I'm not going to have long before the inevitable happens. I'm not looking forward to it, having watched friends have to change glasses or find ones to look at the text on their phones or to view a photo.

I went through this many years ago, I suddenly found out that my arms weren't long enough, I couldn't hold the paper far enough away from my face to be able to read it. These days I wear bifocals.

At last I've got a date for my broadband move. I recon plusnet didn't want me to go, the first three migration requests Origin sent were turned down, I've just been told they've accepted the fourth request.

I do like watching cooking shows but it's savory all the way for me. Dessert just holds no interest.......

I'll still eat it though.
