Poor Sasha.

I think Snipe will be wearing the Cone of Shame for a lot longer than the minimum one week: I take it off to feed her and wasn't quick enough to stop her licking her leg after she'd finished and realised that I wasn't watching.

The indoors temperature has plummeted to 26 degrees overnight. I can feel a slight chill on the tops of my feet.

Walking her is really boring. She can go off-lead if she wears the cone, but not where other dogs are likely to be. I need to get the hybrid back on the road so I can take her out for some short but energetic runs. Daren't go too far with the drop bars as it's not exactly stable...

Third party insurers have finally admitted primary liability after nearly 10 months. Now for their attempts at contributory negligence with regards to road positioning and poor witness reports.

I think this may have put me another step closer to a GoPro or similar. Especially after this morning's ride. A whole bunch of fab drivers but one a$$ who decided to overtake me just as a transit was coming the other way. Thank god the transit saw what they were going to do and slammed their brakes on in good time.

I sometimes think that when such events happen (twice, yesterday) but I consider all the times it hasn't happened or the number of times "it" has led to an actual incident (zero) and figure it's not worth it. Besides, the only sensible place to mount one is on the helmet and although I don't wear one, if I did, I certainly wouldn't want something sticking out of it that might end up sticking into me!

More washing done, hanging out in the sun to dry, bread in the bread maker, and actually getting some work done (although obviously not quite as much work done as if I was concentrating now instead of posting on CycleChat!).
Planning an errand tomorrow that might just see a 15 mile ride turned into a 30 mile one...

I'm waiting for the machine to finish so I can hang my washing out as well. My SPD sandals were still wet this morning after yesterday's downpour so I hope they dry soon: I've got the option of getting on with some work or heading into town to do some non-essential shopping.

I'm waiting in for the gas man, I finally decided that the ancient gas fire in the lounge has to go, it was old when we moved in eight years ago and has broken down every couple of years since, today we are going to find out if our chosen replacement will fit our fire place.
