I was right. Sudden darkness, then rain, thunder and lightning ⚡
I dashed round to close the curtains before I left. All the gutters overflowing in five minutes and the main road was like a river.

Yay, a right proper thunder storm.
When we came out of the Pilates class we were wowed by a set of spectacular fork lightning and luckily the rain had nearly stopped.

It lasted for quite a long time when it came!

Some of the folks in the cycling club who commute posted on fb how much they enjoyed being out in the storm enjoying the show despite being soaked through. Quite exhilarating they said.

Yes.

Wow. Glad I'm not in a valley.
Used to ride home from the top work at the of a hill on open ground.

The worst thing about today's ride wasn't so much the 30 degree heat and the fact that I was suffering up a steep hill, it was the fact that when I looked down at my computer it was reading 2.3mph. I'd fall over at that speed! Plus the fact that as it missed loads of wheel turns, it missed the distance too. The record stated, however, that I'd cycled 5.49 miles at an average of 7.9 mph. Life can be unfair!

Three weeks ago, just nobody bothered asking until now.

They still squirt water out, like a grownups water pistol however.
Yeah, but why do they do it? Are they expecting to eat a three course meal off their block paving behind their electric gates? On Addison Road, all the houses are uninhabited apart from the blowing and squirting staff.

{where's @Fnaar?}

So that's how we should get Telstra to send someone to fix the phones/internet at work. Take our clothes off! Or, maybe not.

perhaps or perhaps not, Anyway it was only a certain item of clothing and its not like I normally have any visitors! And Telstra wanted too much, so we went with Activ8me instead and true to his word, he was back at 7am this morning (well 7:05am but I'll let him off). Job done by 11am and I am now typing this on satellite broadband which seems to be at 17.5Mbps download speed and 4.5Mbps upload speed so can't really complain. I even have the VOIP phone working but made the mistake of testing it by ringing my mobile. The test went fine but potentially using one of the cordless 'landline' phones connected to a satellite dish to call my mobile (still attached to the window on an IKEA suction cup soap dish) which is connected to the cordless 'landline' phone via Bluetooth is just getting too confusing. The end result was that the base station, the other cordless phone, my mobile phone and my smartwatch all started ringing and the cordless phone in my hand announced that there was an incoming call from Emma (myself) and it really did say that to me rather than just display it on the screen. It all got rather confusing in the end and the only thing I could say was that I was certain there were easier ways of talking to myself! Technology really is getting way too advanced for its own good. :whistle:
