[Hill Wimp]

As those who know me are aware, I'm hamfisted and useless at DIY. However yesterday I fixed our sofa. One end had collapsed so I took the base off it, put some new foam in it and added some struts to take the strain where a couple of band springs had broken. Not perfect but working.

I have a list of DIY jobs if you feel the need to continue in this vein.

I really, really wouldn't trust me to carry out DIY. I wouldn't trust me to fix a puncture for you believe me.

I've just been phoned up by someone who told me that I was going to be disconnected from the internet in 2 hours time. Why, I asked. Apparently I've been downloading corrupted files that were interfering with their service. I wonder what Mr Number Not Available was trying to panic me into doing. Mind, it could be true considering the amount of nonsense that goes between the forum and me....

in the last 8 weeks I have bumped into former colleagues last worked with in one case 14 years ago and the other 16 years ago. One was at a training seminar thing, the other one is a "new" construction manager working on one of the projects I QA on.
