And what a race it was! Very enjoyable. Shame George's softs didn't last long enough. It was a good stab though. I thought it was interesting that Lewis seemed to start off slow but he suddenly got a massive increase in performance near the end of the race. I wonder if it's a weight thing. It does seem that when the Merc is lighter it suddenly kicks into action.

It would be nice if F1 returned to actual racing though rather than 75% of the race being about tyre management.A lot of the tyres examined after Friday practice had damage.
New track surface and the existing sharp sausage curbs, as well as the heat. Not entirely certain what could have been done between Friday and yesterday that could have been done, on track, to say that they'd have been safe to use for more than they were.Revised Tyre rule was a strange one but I suppose it was down to safety worries
