Funny headline of the day, considering Max was 27 seconds, almost 1/3 of a lap, ahead at one point and despite backing off the pace in the final laps still finished over 19 seconds in front of Lando.

Norris says McLaren "not miles away" from Verstappen after P2 in Japan

Clearly Norris' idea of "not miles away" is rather different to mine.

Well he's not wrong given the length of the circuit. :okay:

I think it's great to see McLaren pulling things together, and Lando looks to be a well balanced lad with a bright future, as does his team mate. Credit to the team.

I think Hamilton showed his lack of class once again, and the Mercedes team pandered to his ego to the cost of the team over all.

On another note, what a breath of fresh air Bernie Collins is. I find it interesting to hear her sharing her knowledge and experience.

The cynical side of me thinks RB wanted the constructors title to tie up in Japan. Coincides nicely with keeping Yuki at ATR

Fun with track limits again, stewards slow to act, made the post qualifying interviews interesting.

Lance Stroll shoved his trainer out the way as he stropped back to his trams garage. As a child he lived a 15 minute walk from his school but was still flown there by helicopter so I don't know why he's a spoiled brat.

Seems unlikely. He went to the International School of Geneva which doesn't have a heliport nor anywhere convenient to land a helicopter.

It looks like theres tyre problems this weekend.

"Following the standard analysis of tyres used during Free Practice 1 yesterday, in which tyres that have been used for approximately 20 laps are examined by Pirelli to check various safety parameters, a separation in the sidewall between the topping compound and the carcass cords on many of tyres that were checked was discovered,” an FIA statement read.

Two corners adjusted and 3 mandatory stops for the GP.
