I'm pretty sure cash is all Massa wants.

All this talk of championships is just leverage in the pursuit of the filthy lucre. And why not? I probably would for the telephone number sums involved.

I expect the FIA et al to settle way before they have to open their records discussing the matter.

Aye Mr Fright. You can bet the Mercedes legal teem will be pressuring the FIA and F1 to do just that.

"FIA urged to" is just someone's musing when talking online and whipped into a clickbait story.

Then it'll be Shcumi's other questionable antics and on to AD21.

It's not Mercedes problem as they weren't employing HAM at the time and were only an engine supplier.

But if Massa is declared the 2008 winner, Hamilton loses one championship putting him behind Schumacher. They want the title wins to be equal. Not one of their current drivers to be behind an ex driver of theirs.

The best thing they can do then is raise their game and get Ramilton another championship or two.

Sadly the obviousness of that course of action seems lost on Toto, who is now too easily distracted by irrelevances.

Massa taking a case on based on historical hearsay

Toto is now saying

“Clearly, not something that anybody saw coming. The rules are pretty clear in Formula 1.

“It’s a civil case behind it. It will certainly set a precedent, whatever it is. We’re looking from the sidelines with curiosity.

“The FIA commented on the 2021 race with a clear statement, so that’s why we’re looking at it with interest.”

Get the popcorn ready people

I think it's Toto's only chance of a win this season.

Yes, they are clear - the race result should have been voided due to known attempts to manipulate the result by cheating.

If Toto is really interested in staying on the sidelines he should keep quiet, because you never know when an offhand comment like that will do your own knees. Yet another good reason why he should keep the winning of races his sole focus.

He can't resist sticking his nose in to unproductive areas of endeavour, and it will be his and the teams undoing.

He'd have won if his engineers remembered to un-hook the fuel hose

It's a response to a prompted question and they have an opinion on it. They dropped the legal action and let it slide, even though the FIA admitted human error in a written statement.

Massa is taking this forward on hearsay gives them reason to be an interested party.

No it won't.

Their decline of the last 2 seasons suggests very much otherwise. The only reason he hasn't been sacked for signing off on last seasons design debacle like any other team principal woukd have been is because he's a major shareholder himself.

When one wishes to succeed one should emulate the habits of winners. What is Toto doing that Red Bull Spice isn't? Quite a lot, as it happens.

Oh, and the recorded spoken word of a person who is directly involved is not hearsay - it's primary witness evidence.
