I would say the funk show is just shizzle, not 'The Shizzle', but that's cool in my world, we can't all have impeccable taste in music like me, and why should we, it would be strange if we did.

Kind of highlights the disparity. One person dies and the coverage is never ending. Over 125,000 Covid 19 deaths and how much coverage / tribute has there been for them? Two days covering all those who have died wouldn’t be asking too much.

It would take approximately 34 hours to cover everyone who has died of covid in this country, assuming you left every name on screen for 1 second.

Sorry friend, but that's one of the worst TV shows I've ever encountered.

Every episode can be summarised as "Brexiteers Terry and Karen own a BnB in Runcorn (and it's always Terry and it's always Karen) and visit John and Samantha's country manor house, and then spend a week nitpicking about a pube they found under the carpet and how runny the egg was on day 3, then count out exactly how much they're willing to pay in order to consume as much of the viewer's finite and rapidly diminishing lifespan as possible."

Compared to its sibling, the mighty Come Dine With Me, it's formulaic garbage.

I'd sooner watch wall to wall coverage of the death of Prince Philip.

Some people have no taste ! My favourite tv after work.Your telling me when you go to a BnB you don't run your finger round the khasi to check it's clean or bitch about wether you get a full fry up or not ?
Followed by a place in the sun where a couple from Essex want a villa with sea views and pool for 15 grand,get involved with the local community whilst sitting in a bar drinking Stella reading the sun....

I'm late to this thread. At the time you were posting this I was tuning to R6 expecting Funky Frank's Friday Floor Fillers. My hopes were dashed.

The media coverage was stupid and inexplicable.

Sure, hand over one radio channel (say Radio 4) for this purpose. Maybe two channels, you could have a dumbed down and annoying version on R5, fronted by Nicky Campbell, for the person who likes that sort of thing (N Campbell esq) But leave the rest of the channels alone.

I don't think it's coverage as such. It's more guarding against accidentally playing something horrendously disrespectful, which would be all too easy on a channel like R6. It seems we're getting a little more upbeat this morning anyway.
