I assume you have also cancelled any SKY subscriptions, ITV player subscriptions, stopped listening to pretty much any radio station, indeed you should probably stop using the internet, and we even have threads on here, so you should unregister from here too.

Or just accept it is for a couple of days and then just move on.
It's not about showing them, I know they couldn't care less about me.

I don't watch much TV anyway, have no itv player or sky subscription. Only listen to podcasts. Don't view news websites or have Facebook. Threads on here where you can express your opinion is very different from wall-to-wall, sycophantic coverage. Don't need your help deciding what's an appropriate response 👍

If I disagree with something and can take action to address it, rather than just grumbling and whining or passively accepting, I will.

I read that as a pi**take myself with some quite funny observations, but what do I know?

Yeah, I assumed it was a pi55take as well!

Yeah, I have no idea how Pale Rider came to that conclusion at all!

Just to be clear, this isn't about gender, or even you personally, it's about jokes when someone has died.

I am clearly in a minority on here, but maybe jokes about people passing on, less than 24 hours after they done so, just seem in poor taste. Obviously you, and others, feel differently.

I once again apologise for stepping in with my comments about your post, feel free to carry on safe in the knowledge that I will comment no further on that post for fear of being called a misogynist or having accusations that I have somehow treated you differently.
Wow, storm in a teacup....
@mudsticks ’joke’ was poking fun at the MEDIA COVERAGE not the death of some 99 year old duffer.
It’s hardly the height if subtlety....

I did read muddy's post as about the media coverage - but some of the phrasing used to defend her post is quite telling. :-\

I did enjoy the ticking off by someone who regularly chides others, for being 'permenantly offended' though. :okay:

That was particularly good fun

If the cap fits...

And please don't run off with the idea I was offended, permanently or otherwise.

The quip was made earlier in the thread, and I first heard it about 25 years ago in relation to press coverage of a murder.
