Obviously an Aubergine
As much as I hate to admit it I agree with the above, Queenie isn't going to read this is she?
Every time someone well
known dies the joke's go round like wildfire, its the way we are (or some of us).

Thing is - i wasn't even joking about the death -

- just the wall to wall media coverage ongoing - as if some new news was going to develop...

Oh well - humour its so subjective isn't it ... ??

Or was it just an ill-judged attempt at humour

I didn't think it was ill-judged, and it made me smile.

That doesn't make me a bad person, I am sorry Phillip has died and the Queen must be distraught, but life goes on.

It's impossible to know of course

But one wonders what the reaction would have been if you'd posted same

BBC have gone waaaay too far now.
HOLY SH*T.....They have cancelled Tony Blackburn's SoTS .
A highlight of my week....0600 Saturday morning..... sat with my coffee while getting my fix of 60s music.
Criminal is what it is:sad:.
I don't think all the licence payers are Royalists, maybe there should be one channel set aside for those that are?
I'm pre-booking my ticket to Mars for the departure of Liz.
If this death is bad what will it be like when she pops off.

For example, these two must be bricking themselves in anticipation of their admonishment..

No, you are all quite right, I apologise for my misinterpretation of your comment @mudsticks

Clearly your humour is slightly differently calibrated on deaths of high profile people within the last 24 hours. It's also good to know that you won't get offended or take any umbrage at any 'humorous' (remember it's subjective, just because you don't like it you have no right to comment on it) comments made by anyone about absolutely anything in the future will you, because humour is simply subjective, you are correct.

Or maybe you will now reply with one of your enormous, long, well spaced out and dreary posts, with each sentence getting its own paragraph that go on longer than a sheet of A3 paper and are almost impossible to read because they are so poorly constructed?

Hahaha, only joshing, it's that pesky subjective humour in action again isn't it?

Unless everything in your world really is a gender battle, which is often how it appears
No idea how you're work all this up up into a 'gender battle' - but i guess that's for you to decide.
But one wonders what the reaction would have been if you'd posted same

Yeah, I have no idea how Pale Rider came to that conclusion at all!

Just to be clear, this isn't about gender, or even you personally, it's about jokes when someone has died.

I am clearly in a minority on here, but maybe jokes about people passing on, less than 24 hours after they done so, just seem in poor taste. Obviously you, and others, feel differently.

I once again apologise for stepping in with my comments about your post, feel free to carry on safe in the knowledge that I will comment no further on that post for fear of being called a misogynist or having accusations that I have somehow treated you differently.

May I recommend a long bike ride or some deep breathing exercises?

a cyclist is getting shirty abut something they read on the interweb.

Then apologises, and gracefully steps back.
