Remember that the current DG of the BBC is a Tory, installed by a right wing nationalist flag waving government. They want to either control the BBC or do away with it altogether so don't fall for it and start hating on them, that's playing into their hands.

I know the BBC always get some criticism but I believe their take on things has shifted to the right.
Maybe they've had to or else be done away with. Either way I'm p***ed of with the coverage, no let up this morning!

My life certainly does not revolve around the TV schedule, for those hinting that we should have better things to do. However, I am, grudgingly, a licence fee payer for a service that I think is below par at the best of times. The coverage of Prince Philip's death, sad as I think it is, has been completely and utterly bonkers. Five channels pumping out the exact same coverage? I'm lost for words at the stupidity of it all. I'm sure Phil himself would be embarrassed.

It's not a pointless gesture. I'm not prepared to fund an organisation that makes scheduling decisions like this, so I've cancelled my direct debit.

Well, that will show them. I assume you have also cancelled any SKY subscriptions, ITV player subscriptions, stopped listening to pretty much any radio station, indeed you should probably stop using the internet, and we even have threads on here, so you should unregister from here too.

Or just accept it is for a couple of days and then just move on.
