Marie Curie gave released a top ten of songs to listen to on your deathbed.
It’s a bit middle of the road and obvious. I’m sure we can do far better than this.

The top 10 songs on the first ever playlist curated by people at the end of life:
1. I Will Always Love You – Whitney Houston
2. My Way – Frank Sinatra
3. The Best – Tina Turner
4. Over the Rainbow – Judy Garland
5. Girls Just Want to Have Fun – Cyndi Lauper
6. Angels – Robbie Williams
7. Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong
8. Beautiful – Christina Aguilera
9. Hey Jude – The Beatles
10. These are the Days of our Lives – Queen
Whoever suggested 4 needs to go away and listen to Eva Cassidy.
I don't think much of the rest either. Well, maybe 7.

The list is a bit Clichè, but then im not going to be telling anyone who requested these to be played on their deathbed such... Whatever you want...

I have no idea what i'd listen to. There is much to listen to and im quite musical in nature. But then, im a sentimental damn fool at times and i have recordings of my Grandad talking about his life and therefore, I'd probably die listening to them. Whenever the chips are down, that is what i do. It eases my mind and warms my soul.

Yes, i think that's what id do.

I'm pretty sure that's a reasonable justification for cancelling my monthly direct debit. How could they come up with such a crass idea???

They wouldn't know much more than 10 songs and perhaps the one dong that grandma enjoyed listening too in their fuzzy rememberance.

It's lists like this which makes me a big fan of Direct Cremation. Reminds me Leeds Museum has an excellent temporary exhibition on Death, it's a bit grim but worth visiting.

This is an example of a Fantasy Coffin, originating in Ghana and meant to be used by the deceased in the afterlife.

There's also a Ghost Bike on display, very sobering.

Chain not only needs more paint on it, it also looks slack.
