A tyre is scrap at 3mm, the point at which they cease to tread water, and you want to put them on the rear of a heavy high performance car? Youre crazy![]()
You're insane. I've scraped too many corpses off the tarmac to even consider driving round on knackered tyres, even if still legal. The average 35% increase in stopping distance over new boots could mean your life or, even worse, someone else's. It's selfish.
I can highly recommend Hankook Kinergy 4S2's. They were superb in all conditions on my XC90.
And it failed...drivers rear coil spring.
I did think it looked slightly low when I rolled it out the garage this morning but didn't have time to think further. Everything else is tickedy boo.
Simple job for a garage.
