Grrr!!! Stupid me...! :cursing:

I decided the cycle paths seemed in a reasonable state when out running at lunchtime, so went for a wee loop on the evening commute.

Bike now completely ganked up to %^&* in grit and cack, and a nice puncture in the near zero wind chill thanks to a big splinter of bottle glass.
Hadn't been using the paths for the past few months... and won't be again for a while after tonight.

Thanks  Don't think i will be doing as much next month, maybe extra on the commute but going out at night is just madness :hyper:

Great , that'll stop you from catching up on me too much on MCL ... rest as much as you like .
Seriously, well done! :bravo:If you do that sort of mileage every month, you'll need to revise your target...

Agh, just read about your off, @mr messy. What a horrid thing to happen
Get well soon, dude. I would concur with others that you definitely need to get the headaches investigated as a matter of priority.

I'll PM you with a quick thought based upon my prior experience with insurance companies and incident reports.

P.S. @Scoosh why do my watched threads keep stop giving me notifications when they've been updated? Is there any way to stop that happening?

Funny (as in strange , not ) how the body works, if one part is REALLY hurting, you don't notice the next worst stuff so much - maybe for the best . As they say, a change is as good as a rest ... Take it easy!
:hugs:

Maybe in the better weather but I've been doing too much, pretty much done most of the challenge in 2 weeks, I make it about 230 miles in they two weeks

am I wrong in being annoyed when out cycling with a friend, that every time we go out they disappear into distance for miles at a time? social rides aint for chasing every strava segment imho , especially in this weather

and the Cube rides like a dream. switching gears is soo much easier on 105 than sora

It depends on the people and the purpose of the ride. The CC Ecosse ethos of "no-one left behind" works well for larger groups of varying ability and in reasonable weather, like on the Perth ride.
When two friends and I (one a non-cyclist on a tank bike, the other a triathlete on a road bike) did the five ferries challenge, the triathlete would ride off into the distance, so I accompanied the non-cyclist to make sure that he didn't get dropped.

I miss riding my Focus. The Triban is a poor substitute, particularly where gearing is concerned.

:hello:
We just had Arran cheese for our lunch and were thinking of you lot (especially the AAs*)... we earned it the hard way, cycling back from the market into horizontal sleet :cold:

its only the two of us going out. iv stressed my annoyance at it before, but its changing nothing. think we have a Froomes naivety clashing with my Wiggins style and traditional notions problem :becool:
