Ahem ... can't tell you about my injuries after I told @Ellebells I would kill her if she mentioned them on CC
Derailleur did not destroy any spokes, actually finished the ride, left the girls to go to work, rode home at the end of my shift.
The bike is fine as long as I don't go into the biggest sprocket at the back.
The sharp edge under the saddle will be bandaged

I've been saintly - not uttered a word  It was a bit of a disaster ride :hugs:Glad the offending article is getting taken care of; fingers crossed it works! :bicycle:

It'll get better once you get used to daily cycle commuting  ... why 100+? Have you got a weekly target, or a big planned ride?

I really miss my cycling when I can't go out on the bike properly every day for some reason  (sad addict, I know )... tomorrow will only be a wee commute for me  to Waverley & back home late ...

There is a 600km January challenge on strava, I was nowhere near it until i did 109 miles last week and now that i needed 119 miles this morning I thought its very do able in 5 days :bicycle:

Got 80 miles left after today's cycling :hyper:

On a side note, I was out tonight, lights on, bright jacket & gloves on cycling through rosyth, seen a yellow MG coming along a sidestreet, car going the other way from me so the MG had to wait for that car to go as they were turning right, as soon as it had passed she pulls out, its safe to say i thought me and the bike were heading for a sore one :B), i never assume anybody has seen me but i pretty much make eye contact with this driver (least i thought we had) She pulled out just as the front of the bike was past her passenger side and due to me moving out the way i avoided being hooked, there must have been inches in it :cursing:

Earlier in the ride (about .5 miles from home) a group of young guys were on the pavement next to me when one of them pretends to kick me, lets just say the words I said and he also said back are not safe for this forum, he's lucky I was on the bike or he was heading for :boxing: When did young twats start acting like total twats, never once acted like that when I was that age

Rosyth, Dunfermline, night-time - go figure.

There is definitely still a Neanderthal element in Fife that sees cycling as some kind of childish pursuit and cyclists as targets for all kinds of abuse. Might move to Holland.
