Why is there not a "dislike" button for an appropriate response?!
We're not that clever in the East - think I've got wet every Saturday this year so far (when cycling, just to clarify...)

Surely you mean "Inappropriate" ?Why is there not a "dislike" button for an appropriate response?!
Surely you mean "Inappropriate" ?
It's, erm, character building!?!
What else would it be?
It's sometimes better to focus on rule 9 rather than rule 5, puts a more positive spin on it.
The weather forecast for the weekend does look pretty depressing, though. I'm hoping to go for a quick spin on Sat morning before spending the afternoon watching someone else do the work at the athletics meet in Emirates Arena. Sunday is looking to bleak to contemplate a ride
Come on, @Pat "5mph" - let us all in to the secret ...I did go out today: freezing rain followed me all the way to Paisley and back.
Was sunny when I set out
We must have been in Paisley at the same time today. I was at canal station at around quarter past one. The sleety shower caught me too, several actually all the way from Glasgow.OK, I decided to build my character a little more, and went to Paisley for the start of the Monte Carlo Rally.

I only got caught in one shower but it was sleet and pretty horrible stuff to be out in. Once I got to Paisley, I lasted for about 10 minutes of standing around in the freezing cold in sweaty cycling gear before having to go and sit in the relative warmth of Morrisons Cafe to thaw out and eat something.
Back to the car rally and lasted another hour before the cold got the better of me, and off to the train station for the train home. Did manage to see most of the cars, but felt a little bit duped by the fact that some of them are only taking part as far as Dumfries. I thought they would ALL be heading for Monte Carlo!
I was a wee bit later, Pat. Didn't get to Paisley until nearer 4pm, and left again on the 7pm train. We must have been in Paisley at the same time today. I was at canal station at around quarter past one. The sleety shower caught me too, several actually all the way from Glasgow.
5 min at the station, time to eat my sandwich, then I headed home, too cold to stand about.
Was almost going to take the road back instead of the NCN7, but Paisley road west is usually a nightmare with traffic.
Ah, then the sleet you mentioned was when I was in my front garden, washing Boris.I was a wee bit later, Pat. Didn't get to Paisley until nearer 4pm, and left again on the 7pm train.
