Not a physical ailment, no I haven't felt like it since the jaw incident. I know that once I'm actually on it I'll really enjoy it, but a wave of apathy washes over me when I think about getting on the bike, or going for a hike or anything. If convalescing is following a physical ailment, don't rush back to major exercise. Atyourourmy age one** has to be very careful - slow and steady, adding 10% per week ...
I wish!**I fully appreciate that you are but a wean but just sayin' ....
Or in my case TitaniumWell Done, @Harry_Palmer79 (he says, feeling very smug having ridden 40km today ...) Once you get to Fixed - you'll be the Man of Steel !

The weegie members on this forum make up a significant portion of the brave few who cycle in Glasgow.I'm just home from an overnight stay in Glasgow, I was shocked and disappointed, the city is almost a cycle free zone!!!
Of course my survey would not stand up to scientific scrutiny, but I did spend several hours tramping the streets and found the fingers of one hand were adequate to count cyclists seen per hour.
They're not joking when they say it's a car-sick city.I'm just home from an overnight stay in Glasgow, I was shocked and disappointed, the city is almost a cycle free zone!!!

I travelled by rail, arriving and departing from Queen Street Station, stayed overnight very close to Central station and walked towards the west end of St Vincent Street, so all very central, and the weather was dry throughout. I saw lots of office workers on their way home around 16.00-18.00, but not a cyclist among them.Obviously you don't state where in the city you stayed,
There is some, but you need to know where to find it! The Broomielaw is quite good for cycling, and there are paths and lanes which take you from there out by Partick, Clydebank, and onwards to Loch Lomond.I don't think I saw any infrastructure that might have encouraged cycling.

Yes, oor @Pat "5mph" is one of the brave few .
I blame the climate in the west, it's not exactly encouraging for those thinking about taking up cycling.
