Shocking eh? I'm sad we are losing members though
Yeah, and nobody has told me the whole story either!
Anyhoo, I've got a story for youse, was gonna put it in commuting
Rode at work this morning at 6am, see a guy walking his bike, asked him if he was ok, he blurrs "you got a lighter, you're ok? I'm okeyyyyyy!" ...Pissed he was
Riding home just after 6pm, leaving the SECC, a group of the delegates that had attended today's conference  huddled on the cycle path, a body top to bottom in hi-viz laying on the ground, a bike nearby.
I feared a crash, no, guess what? He was also pissed!
Cycle commuting Glasgow style

I am your Father
@Brandane ....

You can be quite anonymous on FB.
Prior to the whole debacle that kick started the private group I had never even considered FB, believing it to be the root of all evil etc .... however I didn't want to lose touch with people I consider friends all be it interweb friends ....

anyway I set up my account choosing the level of privacy I required & using a pseudonym.

Could you change your original username or update your privacy levels on FB ? Or even retry deleting your account & setting up a new one ?

I haven't needed to try these things but maybe worth a go & surely there is a help function where a FB staff member could sort any issues.

There are quite a number of people, some who have visited tea fairly often @Col5632 , some not so often who have been nice as pie, now I don't speak for everyone but it seems that those people would be welcomed 'elsewhere' with open arms *you would need to ask at reception* ;) if you get my drift ....

the idea is to be small in number & friendly in banter, (we don't say daffodil) & to avoid the kind of 'issues' that plagued the thread previously, to that end I suppose we are trying to avoid 'runners' *between here & there* whose motives may not be friendly.

Of course there are many fine folk who have never been to 'Tea' or had any interest in going to 'Tea' as the World of CC is a wide & wonderfully varied World for the most part.

Didn't want to jump all over your thread guys, just thought it might shine a little light on things.

Enjoy .... Stay safe

I don't have an issue with a segment of the population taking the tea thread banter off onto facebook or anywhere else for that matter, but I do hope you keep the cycling content on here. More positive content is good! So, @Pat "5mph" , please do put your lovely story in the commute thread.

:okay::bravo:Seconded, don't let another thread (tea or otherwise) kill off CC Ecosse!

Agreed :okay:

@Pat "5mph" nothing stopping you post the story in both threads as its relevant to both threads.

I don't really go into Tea, unless I am tagged, that's how I haven't a clue of what the drama was about.
Of course I'm keeping my cycling on CC, the reason I did not post the story in commuting is because I am embarrassed on behalf of my adopted country, I mean, the perpetual drunk Scotsman is an urban myth, everybody knows that
