See you Wednesday then :-)
It's looking like it; I'm not exactly being swamped with offers ^_^.
Back to normal form today; got caught out in one of those Floridian downpours and got a soaking..
Cycled through part of Disney Land. Not recommended! It's obviously been built with only motorised vehicles in mind and a bit scarey. You would think a place that size, with the number of employees it has, would cater for cyclists and pedestrians. There aren't even any pavements beside the main access roads .

It's only 8am, I'm still lying in bed contemplating where to go for breakfast and then spend another sunny day with temperatures in the mid 70's ^_^.
Did another metric century yesterday, from Lake Buena Vista up to Winter Garden, then the West Orange Trail (like Sustrans ex railway paths without the broken Buckie bottles), and back. This is what cycling SHOULD be like!

Unless some young(ish) Floridian wench invites me to give up my life of wind and rain, then I will be getting dragged kicking and screaming onto the big silver bird on Tuesday night to Gatwick, then up to Glasgow on Wednesday morning .

Batten down the hatches, Storm Brandane arrives Wednesday:rolleyes:...

Ha ha! According to the BBC unreliable forecast, I will be bringing a little ray of sunshine to break the dismal pattern of wind and rain which you have endured (in my absence, incidentally!).

Looks like a drop in temperatures over here until my departure. Still sunny but down to mid 60's F.. Last few days it got to the low 80's.

If you 'miss' an Alert and/ or don't have a look, you will not get another from the same thread, so it's always worth having a wee run through the Café or New Posts sections every now and again, going back to see if you've missed anything. :okay:

Europe ? I planned a European tour this year. I bought the maps for the Europa Radweg R1 ( St Petersburg - Calais ), I was going to fly to Berlin, less than £40 with easy jet, another £35 for the bike and cycle home across Germany and Holland. Maybe fly home from Amsterdam. They sell bike boxes in the airport in Amsterdam. Then I signed up and bought my membership of friends on bikes. ( A dutch organisation, which provide B&B for €19 per person per night ).
All sounding good so far.......THEN........., I bought my airline ticket to CALGARY !

Right ! Not quite in Europe.......

Plan B ....., I got invited to join a supported tour from Cut Bank, Montana to Alaska.
39 days cycling and 5 rest days. I just clicked on the smiley face icon to add one for AWESOME, but the choice was too overbearing. Happy Days.
Davy's on the Road again.

Davy's on the Road again
Saying his goodbyes again, wheels are in his eyes again...
More than a little envious here, especially as I'm about to pack the bike - for the homeward flight . Enjoyed my 2 weeks, 440 miles, mostly in the sun.
However; it IS early in the year, and that European trip you were going to do is giving me some inspiration :okay:.

Please post your itinerary well in advance, oh soggy one. I don't like camping when it is raining.

Sugar! I forgot @Brandane is due back!
Better cancel Sunday's Belles ride then ...

My reputation is thoroughly undeserved! With the exception of the first two days, this trip has been pretty good weather wise.

Meanwhile Scotland has been getting battered by Gertrude and Harry (or whatever they came up with for H), plus the normal wind and rain between storms.

It even looks as if I am bringing back a wee ray of sunshine for Wednesday ^_^.
