I'm sitting in a hotel room in Glasgow
Calling @Pat "5mph" ! ^_^

I get the feeling that lot have an agenda. "In Europe, drought conditions further eased over the United Kingdom".
We had noticed!

PS... Still raining in Orlando. Proper Scottish style rain today, i.e. it's persistent and soaks you in 5 minutes. Did 15 miles on the bike but it wasn't enjoyable, to put it mildly.
"We're not sure why drought has eased so much in the United Kingdom, but the focal point of the weather system is on the west coast of Scotland, near the town of Largs."

@Brandane you rode in the rain? On purpose?
Did you get soaked? I didn't, again  It is stormy here, but my waterproofs worked a treat ^_^
It was just a warm drizzle to start with. Then it got heavier and yes I got soaked, despite a Berghaus goretex jacket. Cycling in PROPER rain really is unpleasant - bike is minging too .
Never mind, 70F tomorrow and SUNSHINE :wahhey:, for at least 5 days!

Wait until the US weather forecasters find out you're there. That 5 days of sunshine will evaporate :-p

So I walk from the Premier inn at Charing x to Queen st in the wind (ordered to make me feel at home) get a train to Dalmuir and find that the first stop is Charing x . Doh. Now back at the airport waiting to fly back to Stornoway.
Flying to Stornoway; little 'plane, big wind. Good luck with that. I was cacking myself in the wind we had on Tuesday morning, and that was taking off from Glasgow in a reasonably sized Airbus!

Ha! Just done 40 miles in the sun. My pasty Scottish sun starved windswept rain lashed complexion is already protesting at this alien object in the sky. Back at the hotel to re-apply the factor 30 ^_^.

You're meant to apply the factor 30 before you go out into the sun, @Brandane  Try not to burn and have a great time ! :sun: + :bicycle: = :wahhey:

That'll be why I clearly stated RE-apply .
As in - I had applied some earlier but required more as per instructions on the bottle to re-apply at least every two hours. Now repeat after me ...... ^_^

Take off 2.5hrs late, flew over Stornoway, pilot decided he couldn't land the plane and took us back to Glasgow. A night in the Holiday Inn at Flybe's expense

Bit blowy out there - maybe this is an understatement!
Broomilaw closed, one of the office buildings is losing its roof.
Not even bikes or pedestrians allowed. On my way in I had to mix, on the bike, with all the diverted Armadillo and Hydro traffic, plus the city commuters.
So, in Argyle Street I'm cycling in primary trying to get through all the junctions, there was a young man, cycling even slower than me if this is possible, right into the gutter.
Suddenly a mighty beep from WVM, wants to pass us because other traffic is turning right. But I can't pass the other oblivious cyclist because I would push him even more into the gutter. Mind, now, the wind was so strong to take a roof off, imagine us on the bikes!
I gesture at WVM to wait, he beeps even more, then gives us a punishment pass as soon as he can. NOBBER!!!!!
Ha, I remember when an episode like this would have me cry, today I only wanted to strangle the nobber :cursing:
Anyhow, if you're still stranded tomorrow @wicker man you may as well come to Stirling with us, 10.48 train from Queen Street :hello:
