Not sure you're missing much between two days of thick fog followed by rain today. I eventually get a bit stir crazy being cooped up and have to go out for a while. Was a tad damp and puddly this morning. Only problem is, I am now stuffing my face with chocolate and crisps! Didn't cycle far enough to justify that. Lol

Yeah I knew I couldn't cycle on Tuesday & Thursday anyway, fog was terrible yesterday

In contrast to you poor southerners, in the east Highlands the last couple of days have been as near perfect as it gets for cycling, calm days with blue skies from dawn 'til dusk. I got off and walked for a bit yesterday, the bike was going too fast to allow me to appreciate the autumn colours and peace only disturbed by bird calls.

Edit It's a bit grey today:sad:.

My bro-in-law was down from Moray to Fife yesterday, leaving the misty and gloomy central belt to return around 1600. He texted later to say he had delayed his arrival to take a detour to Spey Bay to watch a brilliant disply of the Northern Lights.

Ratbag …
I can come up with other words... lets just say that.... It is on my agenda and I am still miffed with my OH for the orange glow he saw and not waking me up whilst we were up on Loch Rannoch... said it looked like "a council housing estate over the hill" in one of the most B*******Y remote parts of the highlands! AHHHHHHhhhhhhh and of course they did not reoccur whilst we were up there and now I am (probably) leaving the northern hemisphere and I won't get to see them and they are on my list and I am very very annoyed and other words that can't be said here and want to cry because it is one of the best seasons for a very long time and I'm going to be leaving half way through it and at -35 degree north I won't even get the aurora australis (apparently) though I should get some amazing night skies but won't recognise a thing!

It was warm and dry, not kidding you.
Early am into work, still and dry.
Late afternoon back home, again no wind and dry: I'm a rain repellent

How "early" is early? I drove from Largs to Coatbridge at 6am (via West Kilbride and Dalry because of a fatality on the Haylie Brae last night ) . It was raining most of the way, including through Glasgow. How do you manage it? You are the ying to my yang and it's no' fair!! :okay:
(NB ... I don't normally undertake such a ridiculous commute, but it was a one-off to help them out, and it won't be happening again).
