I have called for feedback on two occasions now and still no callback, I'll keep trying though.

Hard to bear. If it's any consolation I didn't get the first PM job I went for, but it prepared me well for the second PM job a couple of months later, which I got. Don't give up on the feedback either, make sure someone takes the time for you and make it clear you are going to reapply.

Least its only 6 months, and with being 30 by then I'll get another 30 seconds to do the fitness test

If at first you don't succeed. try again!
If you really go for it, you will get it: a friend of mine that also failed, thought they wanted to hear you being a team player i.e. don't think too much out of the box

It could also be that they have an unwritten policy to fail the majority on their first try, to test your resolve - kind of like the driving test where they (certainly used to be) harder on you if they knew it was your first test.
