You will be aware of the Presumed Liability campaign currently running in Scotland which if adopted by Holyrood would offer greater protection for vulnerable road users(pedestrians and cyclists) bringing us into line with the vast majority of European countries.
There is much misunderstanding of the term Presumed Liability but here is an explanatory article in laymans language.

Last two days have been amazing weather, I have the sunburn to prove it. Weird to think last Sunday at 3 pistes we had snow, sleet and hailstones!

Amazing change, Saturday the wind was so strong I could hardly stand up, last three days, dead calm and sunny, very pleasant little ride on my hardtail along the lanes and tracks of East Lothian last night.

Can't see me ever doing it. As much as I enjoy my cycling, I just don't fancy sitting on a bike for around 7 hours.
YOU would do it in 5!

The tons not that bad an experience, I have done 4, with two of them being this year. One of them was my biggest ride at 125 miles solo. Few stops for comfort food helps. With mileage and time you spend on the bike you would smash it.

Anybody in Arran this weekend?
Our Fiona @flyingfifi on tour got knocked into a ditch by a timber lorry 2 days ago on her way to Lochgilpead. She is now in Arran (campsite at Lochranza) unable to complete her tour. Her confidence cycling on the roads has vanished, she can't cycle to the ferry in Brodrick.
She will be picked up by car in a few days, if you are planning to cycle there Fiona could do with an empathy hug.
