Try your best to resist :stop: all the  he tries to 'force' on you** … "training" and all that ! :training:

**he's only doing it to try to make you slower

I won't give a detailed ride report for three reasons.
1. I was alone and 8.5 hours of Ed's internal monologue would rapidly get me banned from society
2. Nothing interesting happened. I pedalled, my wheels went round. Lovely scenery and I will post photos when I remember how my legs work and can go get my camera.
3. The on screen keyboard on this tablet is absolutely diismal.

I've ridden at least a dozen century rides (probably closer to two dozen...) and I've ridden on Arran times beyond counting. After today, never again the twain shall meet. Boagoullie at mile 75 with 2km of climbing in the legs is entirely evil. As for the climb from Brodick over to Lamlash at mile 97...

Yup. Saw them coming the other way. And just like the Carlisle night ride @phantasmagoriana had dropped the lot!

p.s @edindave your crown is secure. 16:20.
p.p.s. The Ross road is bloody magnificent!

That must have been one of the few bits I wasn't struggling to keep up with the front lot!

Nice day for an Arran ride - we just did the circular route, which I hadn't done before. Missed out the Ross, which is indeed a nice climb.

Yeah it was a lovely day. Couldn't believe it was only 3 weeks since I was riding over ice floes on Dunning Glen.

I encountered the GRCM group three times and the only time you weren't going like greased lightning was when you were at Machrie Tearooms...

You dropped me like a hot rock on the run-in to Brodick

Yeah, Yeah we believe you Phanta

What's the loop like? I've never been to Arran
Mostly flat, some lumps, no real hills
(CC Ecosse in-joke)
Seriously though it's stunning but can be pretty punishing.
