Hope I'm not speaking too soon, but where is this "weather bomb" thing? It is quite bad here, but it was worse yesterday!

Usual southern-based media panic merchants making a story out of a wee bit o bad weather - 'tis a tad breezy out there mind.

I never heard it either but several on Facebook mentioned it. Power keeps blipping every so often. Just heading out for a dog walk so will be fully waterproofed up....lol.

I think that's wise Between the weather and my car not starting this morning its not been a good couple of days

The forecast unusually high tide didn't materialise either! I've seen it level with the pier, but it was a good couple of feet short of that. The ferry was nowhere to be seen, so it's either been carried off in the breeze or CalMac have believed the BBC hype and berthed it elsewhere. I even managed a short cycle along the prom on my hybrid, and I got a bit of a soaking from one rogue wave that broke over the sea wall when it saw me coming. That'll be a bike needing a wash to get the salt off it then .
