I'd be up for a bash at an Arthur's Seat Hill Climb contest. I've always wanted to take part in a race of some kind, and a wooden spoon will come in useful for cooking with once I've settled again

Sadly I didn't quite manage it last year, after beating the unicyclist by 5 seconds...

The programme for the Edinburgh Festival of Cycling is really starting to come together, the deadline for the printed programme is Monday, so there is bound to be a last minute rush. Then there will be all those things which didn't make into print, but will still be added to the website up until the end of May.

Of course summer this year is scheduled to be 12th - 22nd June, so make the most of it... ^_^

Either way - it is :cold: when heading east these past few days ... I did @edindave's doodle around Dalmeny estate yesterday and was frozzed by the time I had gone along S'knowes foreshore :surrender:

How was it on the bent? Did you enjoy the route?
Hope it wasn't too misty to appreciate the views but I suspect it might have been if it was anything like today.

No probs on the 'bent - I need the hill practice ! Nice routes available in there

Loads of pheasants all around the estate - some young ones too, though I don't think they could have been this year's batches ...

Long bottoms/ short top which then become jacket and trousers. Difference in cold level was minimal, have been out on a few windy days this year , but that felt awful. I'm never usually spent after a 35 mile flat run

Gray & misty over the Firth of Forth yesterday, with sea spray across Portobello Promenade & a head/cross wind going east - still worth the effort for a late lunch at the Beach House :hungry:. We were in civvies and no problem with being cold, not sure what we were doing 'wrong'?:biggrin: When we left mid-afternoon, there was hazy sunshine starting to break through, it didn't get very far.

Today, Arthur's Seat is no more  (those who have been Chez T's will know what I mean) ... thick haar!

Up nice and early for the Grand Prix...Had my neice staying with us last night, as soon as she heads home i`ll get my dogs walked then i should get out on the bike today..Looks grey and horrible out there just now...it was the same yesterday, when i went over the top of Sheriffmuir to Blackford the weather closed in on me and it was rubbish for cycling, then the wind all the way from Dunblane to Alloa just killed me, didn`t help that i had just done 2 climbs up Sheriffmuir...I ended up using the cycle path home and i usually only use that if my legs are feeling it.
