Breedon I might well take you up on that cheers mate. I'm thinking it could be a real pain for me and my host if I'm checking in relatively late on Saturday evening. I'll most likely be sweaty and Lycra clad too and that's probably not a great first impression!

I'm not 100% I'm staying Saturday but it would be great to have a meal with you guys and the ride back to London is appealing in a sadistic way!

He is here with me on the Ventoux tour. Absolutely great bloke, very funny, dry sense of humour. Strong rider and climbs mountains with ease(just like you). He is a regular on the 'Tenerife bike training tours'. In fact there is only one new guy in this tour, everyone knows at least one other person. There are 3 fellas from Yorkshire who lived a short distance from where I grew up so it's been great reminiscing about the area.

He has invited me to ride outs when I move down to Rutland in a few years. He knows all the great café stops.

I think he was knocked off a few years ago
Remind him that he nearly fell off when I was with him
His bike went at least 45 degrees !! And he got it back

I have to say that although I ride a fairly aggressive posture on my Defy that this is something else entirely. I will be working on my flexibility.
Still, test ride felt good. Who knows, I may have to bring it with me next weekend.
Still not sure if coming up Friday mid afternoon to beat the rush hour bike ban on the train. Where is everyone staying?

Haha! There's no way you're not bringing your new steed next weekend Bob!

We'll done for pulling the trigger. You can always cut the steerer tube as you get more comfortable with the position.
Also I don't think you'll notice any difference between 105 and ultegra with regards shifting.
