Sometimes individuals can't be helped and should be left to their own devices - after much dithering this thread is a waste of virtual ink.

It's gone all around the houses, this brand, that brand, this bike, that bike - what's the point of carrying on?

As soon as there is some resolution a new brand/bike enters the arena.

Pile of tosh imo.
Don't forget all his other rate this bike threads

Giant bikes very underrated by some, great bikes, I have a Defy it's very comfortable. I'm 6' 2 and I ride a large.

Sit on the bike, ask them to price match or get very close. If they say no say thanks very much and order from Pauls. They will want to be rid of the bike since 2017 bikes are now coming into stock so I reckon you have every chance of a price match.
that's strange because cubes 2016 models only came in 2 weeks ago

To those who think i'm taking my time and messing about.

It seems that every time i find the right bike something comes up to say it's not right for me. For example, the Cube Agree Pro, I was on the verge of buying it after i sat on a Cube 58cm frame today and felt it was the right size, only for me to phone Paulscycles up asking if it was still available to be told it was but it might be too small for me. Fair play to them for not just taking my money, but it still was another hurdle that popped up.
This bike will probably be the last bike i buy and if it isn't,it will be a bike that'll do many miles.so i want it to be right for me! I bought on a whim last July from a LBS and they saw me coming. They sold me a bike unsuitable for hill climbing and it's too small. Ok i should've known, but i can be impulsive as well as indecisive in my decisions. Thanks to those who've come up with suggestions! and to those who're getting annoyed with my dilly dallying, just don't bother reading the thread or replying!:okay:

my thinking is if your going to spend £500-£1000 on a bike and you have little knowledge about which bike etc ( like me) then isn't this place the best place to ask for advice ?

So you would rather trust the opinion of the bloke on the phone who has never seen you compared to your years of experience with your body and having actually sat on the 58cm that felt comfortable to you. Weird.

A further excuse for endless procrastination!

I think this is accy's attempt at starting a 'tea' style thread, you just watch it'll still be going in 3 years time and the topics of conversation will be completely different ^_^
