I don't think they'd knock £250 off to equal Paulcycles?
Giant bikes very underrated by some, great bikes, I have a Defy it's very comfortable. I'm 6' 2 and I ride a large.
Sit on the bike, ask them to price match or get very close. If they say no say thanks very much and order from Pauls. They will want to be rid of the bike since 2017 bikes are now coming into stock so I reckon you have every chance of a price match.

FWIW, I moved from Tiagra 10 speed to 105 11 speed. If its around £100 difference I'd say its worth it. Nothing wrong with Tiagra but the 105 is a smoother and more rewarding experience IMO.
Forget about worrying about 28/32 largest casette, your legs will make a bigger difference on all but the UKs relative handful of *really* tough climbs.
