I expect you've all seen this. Driver tweets about a collision.

What was it? Translation of her words into what we think she would be saying if she was totally honest? Presume the 'user' isn't you?

No, I didn't make it, it was just taking the piss. Maybe ITV complained, although that was a very easy interview.

That woman is scum.

Hadn't appreciated she's 29, that's old enough to have been a grown-up for 11 years... with a serious job and responsibilities, together with a sensible, caring attitude and a mature moral outlook....

I'm certainly older than her, but I've been subjected to the same media influences and I would never collide with someone on the roads, flee the scene and boast about it online.

So should we really be that surprised when a young woman (21 ?) doesn't entirely understand how serious driving should be taken.
She's been old enough to drive for 4 years, and old enough to vote for 3. If she hasn't worked out the consequences of hitting a human body with a tonne of metal (or being in that tonne of metal things go wrong at 95mph), it's her fault.

She ought to have had it drummed into her when she learned to drive, but I suppose driving schools would rather just take the money and get folk through the test, than take any actual responsibility.

An interview for the BBC...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-22636230

She is disputing the cyclist's version of events

"He [Mr Hockley] and another cyclist were coming down the hill at quite a speed.
"He came on to my side of the road. I pulled to the left as quickly as I could. He was right in front me.
"I felt his handlebar just clip my wing mirror and my initial reaction was to brake, stop and look in the mirror.
"He did wobble slightly but he was upright, he was fine.
"I didn't just leave the scene, because there wasn't a scene."
A version which could be seen to be somewhat undermined by her tweet :
"Definitely knocked a cyclist off his bike earlier. I have right of way - he doesn't even pay road tax!"

I'm fairly sure it's not.
Did you see how twitchy the solicitor was when she was giving her version of events? I dont believe in what she is saying. If the cyclist hit her then why did she not say that in her tweet
I agree, why didn't they then ask about the picture of hers doing 95 mph and or the previous one tailgating? Bloody BBC

"I felt his handlebar just clip my wing mirror and my initial reaction was to brake, stop and look in the mirror.
"He did wobble slightly but he was upright, he was fine.

That does not make sense, she clipped him and then stopped he was still wobbling? Legal talk for we will take it to court. She is only fighting it because if she admits it she is sacked, this way she can sue for unfair dismissal if sacked.

Another thing, she talks about "threats" "cyclist killer" whilst driving... She drives that fast I doubt anyone would know who she is.

It would be interesting to know the width of the "narrow country lane" where the incident occurred as some rural roads require co-operation of both parties in order to pass each other safely.
