1994 Dyna-Tech 755Ti
2008(?) Pinnacle Cyclo-Cross (the 'Evans Cycles own brand)
2010 Ridley Orion
2010 Ribble 'Winter' (one of the blue/7005 aluminium frames, that are a damned sight better quality/handling than the price ought to allow!)
2015 Ribble Gran-Fondo
2022 Spa Cycles 'Aubisque' (replaced a Ribble CGR, that cracked, the first model)

Most of them featured 'here' ('Yellow' was given away a few years ago)

Only the 'Aubisque' is regularly ridden; my 'work-bike', that also gets some rides in some very muddy woods!

7, I think.

Road bike: Ribble CGR Ti

Winter road bike (was a gravel bike): Felt Broam 30

Fixed gear road bike: Specialized Langster (not yet ridden - needs the front brake sorting; possibly gearing down a bit and I haven't decided whether or not the tyres I've jammed onto it are too wide)

Slow hybrid: Trek District 4 Stagger

Faster hybrid: Trek FX 7.2 (bought for a song but it is a project; needs a good clean and some new parts)

MTB: Specialized Hard Rock (bought from a Cyclechatter)

Folder: Carrera Intercity (not yet ridden - needs a jolly good clean and a service)

Nominally*, I have two:

A Roberts Master Pro road bike, built for me in 2004 (20 years old this year!), from Columbus El OS tubeset. The frame, stem, hubs, and spokes are original. Though I’ve resprayed it. Fairly badly. A pro job may be due soon, perhaps when it comes of age in a year. Love this bike.

A Roberts Audax, courtesy of my late father, built for him around 2002 or so from some bespoke Columbus combination. I coerced him into it, alarmed by the kind of carbon race monstrosity that the local bike shop were trying to talk this already elderly-ish gentleman into. He adored it (phew). And then, I bought my own a couple of years later (see above). I’ve turned this bike into my occasional commuter. I love it.

If I ever decided to buy a new bike frame I’ll go straight to Adrian Parry at Six Four frameworks and ask him to make it for me. He is an ex-Roberts master frame builder, possibly made my existing bikes, and they’ve served me well so far.

*Still hanging from the rafters in a garage is the frame of my old Nigel Dean 531C road bike frame, upon which this gangly youth was dropped from pitch-black evening club runs, achieved average results in local TT’s, and from which I was eventually knocked off by a van turning left to finish an entertaining if fruitless summer as a London bicycle courier. Love the bent wonky old thing.

*Also in those rafters is an interesting curiosity of a silver-soldered mountain bike frame from the early 90’s, made from Columbus tubing by a local builder with an imperfect reputation, but which served me well. I rode the Cap D’Ail downhill course on it one year last millennium -very slowly- and debonded a PACE RC35 fork dropout, which they sympathetically repaired for free. Frame survived though. Must do something with it one day. Love it.

So it appears I have four bikes, but two of them don’t work

Hmmm, I'm told I have too many, but they all get ridden more than the one bike owned by the person that says I have too many.

Cotic Solaris (2016ish)
Kinesis Pro6 (mainly for commuting)
Masi 3V (Fancy Italian old steel)
Chesini Gran Premio (Less fancy Italian older steel)
Dawes Ambassador (shopping/pub bike)
Hercules folder (1970's beige thing, occasionally useful)
Part built bamboo bike
Single speed frame awaiting seatpost removal

DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...

I've ridden SWMBO's bike further than she has.
Part built bamboo bike

Interested, tell me more please. I looked into building one a few years back at the Bamboo Bike workshops but track/read/TT racing and audaxes took over.

my wife bought me a diy kit for my 50th some years back. I started enthusiastically, but unfortunately my father died before I really got going and other things took priority. I got going again on it last year, main tubes are all cut and shaped. I stopped as it got cold and I was worried about glue not going off properly in an unheated garage. Should get going again now and finish it this year, but need to finish another few projects around the place first.
it was from Bamboo Bicycle Club, they also run the workshops. It’s a flax kit, so joints need wrapping with hemp and epoxy. They now do lugged kits which would be a lot quicker to build. I’ll post pictures if I ever finish it 🙄

You need to finish it and pop up your progress here. What type of bike are you building?

I built mine over the winter of 2017/18. There's a thread all about it here:
