You need to finish it and pop up your progress here. What type of bike are you building?

I built mine over the winter of 2017/18. There's a thread all about it here:

https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/self-build-bamboo-bike-frame-kit-build-thread.225144/

It’s a cyclocross kit, i managed to pick up a bent Boardman that had done 7 miles before being damaged. This has given me most of the bits I need so it will be single ring with SRAM 11 speed Apex for most of the bits. Back wheel was bent so I bought some cheap Prime carbon in the Wiggle sale, although the idea of building disc braked, wood rimmed wheels is kind of appealing. Use of tubs is what puts me off that idea.
Off to look at your thread for inspiration now…

As I started this thread: I thought I’d update:

At one point I had 14 (?) bikes. All too easy. But for me…..a bit of a nonsense. So over Winter I’ve sold (And bought): but simplified. To be left with:

Green Bergamont 8 Grandurance - Gravel
White Trek FX3 - Hybrid
Blue Trek Marlin 7 - MTB
Purple FIT Bike Company - 22” BMX

So 4 x completely different bikes for completely different purposes / ride types.

All 3 of the main riders (Not inc the BMX) are on 1x drive trains. All have the same Charge Spoon saddles. All 3 have the same DMR V12 pedals. And the Hybrid, MTB and BMX have the same Skyway grips…👌

I’ve also still got my much-loved Carrera Subway do-it-all ‘beater’:

And the Kuwahara ET Replica is now in the rafters of the man-cave - as per first pic:

So 6 total. One of which is pretty much ‘display only’. A scantly used 22” BMX; and 4 other riders 😁

What a waste of a garage think of all the other tools you could fit in it!

Mmmm…..maybe for you 😁

A useable fleet. With space to get around them: was my goal.

I’m winning 👌

Rob and I like woodwork so it's a battle for space!!

@robgul!

I'm now down to just 3* bikes, all of which I can now store in my garage/workshop (my tally did reach 16 some years ago)

@Jameshow - I now have a table saw, a small CNC machine, a bigger bandsaw and a larger dust extraction system - all in the same space that you've seen.

*I do own another 4, all Islabikes, but they're part of a "loan scheme" with our grand-children.
