We have a number of friends with Agas and they boil on the Aga with kettles - very fashionable now.

We have a gas fired range (an AGA clone) which was our only means of cooking when we moved in. The outgoing owners left us a rather nice stove kettle and it was very satisfying to heat that on the range while simultaneously warming the teapot and mugs.
Bloody inefficient though, so it never gets used unless I happen to be cooking summat in the oven.
