Fusion and 3D printers give a range of possibilities I could once of never imagined
I have an interesting little project at the moment helping someone create a missing part from an ancient machine he is restoring (or at least the part had broken into 3 or 4 bits and he only has a couple of them
With fusion I can keep 3D printing the part in plastic until I get all the dimensions correct, when I am happy I have it correct I will then be able to make one out of bright steel or (hopefully gun metal) on the mill. Making the metal one will be a days work, 3d printing them, or at least altering some dimensions may just take 5 or 10 minutes (without the fusion and 3d I would not attempt making this)
here's the plastic bit that still does not fit well, another couple of goes might get it right
and when I get it right I can then have the exact dimension to use for the milling
