V2 shroud is a success. Will see over the coming months if PETG is UV resistant.

that looks huge, what size is it ?

PLA (which we are told is not UV resistance) seems fine outdoors. I did one of those things that goes on a watering can 4 years ago, it blows around the garden all winter and is out in sun all summer and it shows no sign of deterioration at all

(it is certainly not the rubbish plastic they cover cycling helmets with that starts to crack and fall to bits after a year or two)

Id fitted some brush draft strips to my daughters garage door. I bought an electric pop riveter to fix the aluminium angle onto the base of the metal door. It's a double door some 3.8 metres wide.

I only took photos of the underside!

Needless to say the rivet gun was ace 😄

I’ve done the same, also worth insulating the inside garage door with polystyrene

Can I ask which rivet gun you used?

I bought this INIU wireless charger last year. It would not work with my phone when it was in its protective case. The charging coil was mis-aligned. Playing with the position got it working. So I quickly knocked up this base. Not pretty, but functional 😁

I've printed another to run off the remaining reel of orange. Don't worry I've got another one 😜

For.possibly the second time in my life, I've paid to have something done I could have done...this time, kitchen diner and hallway laminate floored .
I can claim some diy as all the old flooring had to come up which involved doors off, skirting off, prepping everything ready for them and took the opportunity to re gloss the kitchen.

I'm more realistic nowadays, I could do it but having two young children around the house, a really quite ill wife and my ostro arthritis...sometimes, it's not worth burying yourself to prove it (even if I wanted to...which I definitely don't)

Lovely to have new flooring

My son's new home has a poxy extractor fan for his ensuite. Whilst he was on holiday I said I would upgrade his setup. I replaced his intermittent fan with a constant running version. This has variable speed, timer and humidity detection. I backed this up with a more powerful inline fan from Xpelair and fitted a Y pipe to joint them together.

Followed by repainting the ceiling in satin anti mould paint.

You know, when you buy garden furniture, you find that you need somewhere for the cushions for when the weather isn't so great. Because we sold the static caravan, we've ended up with two sets of garden furniture. All have cushions ! So, you have to go out and buy a cushion storage box ! That was the lunchtime job, got a flat packed box made of steel from JYSK. Nicely made, and all the screw fittings were stainless, and shock horror, all the holes lined up !

You must have got an ex-demo model. Should have got a discount for that

Ground out and pointed the front garden wall yesterday...I've been promising to do it since before Xmas.
That's me done with home diy for a couple of months at least.... surely 😁
