It is still reasonably warm. But, I live in a draughty Victorian flat, so even with the heating on, we still freeze in mid winter.

Heating ?....wha....
Maybe in November, we dont like the heat. Windows and doors stay open most of the time, theres NO heating in the bedrooms...cant stand a warm bedroom...ughhhh.
Of course, theres nothing like a warm house mid winter...but lets wait till the cold weather gets here

The funny thing is, i cant stand the cold outside, i'm a summer person, but i cant stand a hot house either.

No, not yet. We don't really use the heating at home. We must have four or five hundred pallet blocks which I've been gathering all summer to use as fuel, and we've just had the chimney swept. I imagine we'll be lighting the fire for the first time before the end of October.
I have been using the night heater when I sleep in the lorry though.

Nope.

The flat was like an oven when I got home last night, as the sun had been out all day. Not cold tonight either - showing 22 degrees C in my bedroom right now and it's 10.49pm !

Not yet but Dad has just come out of hospital after having major surgery for a new hip and I am expecting him to say soon that he is feeling the cold and could I put the heater on in the front room.

That op gave my dad a new lease of life when he had it done. Good luck to your old man.

Heating doesn't go on in our house before 1st Nov on principle (later if it is warm like last year). I think we have a warm house- had cavity wall insulation years ago. But I haven't even progressed to always having a jumper on yet or even found my slippers.
