Forgive my lack of weather knowledge but I have two questions.

Am I right in thinking it looks to be rotating clockwise as it moves east?
Are the similar angle lines a hundred odd miles south east of it anything major?

WoW.......its really gusting now. As bad as I can recall, apart from what you get near the sea.
Heavy rain but the wind is going all directions.
Conservatory has sprung a leak.
We keep losing radio signal.

Steady rain and a bit breezy here, but nothing like the deluge and 60mph gusts forecast.

Just I was thinking about going out it's now gone black over bill's mothers again and now here the next band of rain and the winds picked up again. cabin fever is setting in

One of the larger conifers has blown down in our garden, luckily missed the greenhouse. Another seems to have split near the base.

Might be an expensive storm......

I was out and about early this morning delivering a bike we sold and the roads were empty, it wasn’t too bad. However really gusty here now, I’ve got a fence which might not make it through the day.

Doors blowing open INSIDE the house, despite all exterior doors and windows being closed! Mastic lifted round front door and rain penetrating. Flood sirens sounded hours ago. Looks like Calder Valley is flooding AGAIN but I am not going to go out to check! If things settle down enough later I will nip out to the local corner shop for milk. Mind you, they are in the flood zone so they may be shut. This house is showing as being 3 metres from the area likely to flood but within the 'at risk' area!

Apparently a car or lorry hit the bridge going out of Mach again yesterday and with all the runoff from the hills that and other roads will be flooded. Lots of fields that have never flooded are under water now.
