Taped the recycling bin closed and put it in the corner. All the garden pots are in the shed. Am due for the windiest gusts between 10am and 3pm.
Its certainly picking up a bit now. Was tempted to bring the road bike in from the shed.

Last summer i made a spinning windmill out of an old bike wheel. I've never seen it turn so fast as of today 😁

Really got going going here in the last hour or so. It's lashing it down not been out this morning yet
Back door is getting a pounding the winds head on that side of the house but it's holding out.

Mrs 73 drive home form nights was interesting if she was not wide awake when you started she was when she got home.
Lucky it was just in time to miss the worse of it and she now fast on
wheelie bin update the brick is holding out

Other than over egging every weather event this new tread to name them is not helping either.
Clearly must have been a slow day in the met office that day.

60mph gusts and rain in Shropshire, it must be bad as Magic the cat took 3 trips to the door before going out and she never stays inside during the day, the chickens got up, had some breakfast and went back in their coop. The dogs need walking soon and then a day indoors I think.

Wet and windy here but nowhere near as promised.
My phoned showed 40mph+ from 0300 but that never happened. BBC weather has now increased that to 50+ but put it back to this afternoon.
Tomorrows has been reduced to 20+mph but Wednesdays has been increased to 50+mph.

People saying 'it isn't that bad' or words to that effect, the amber warning has only just come into place, it wasn't forecast to be bad until mid morning.
The worst thing about all this, for me, is that it's going to be wind in the 50s for about 3 days. I hate it. Storms generally pass, this one is sticking around.

Bit windy here, but no news of escaped trampolines as yet.

Will report back after I've walked the dog.

Right, I can confirm that I've spotted the first free range trampoline of the year, along with a couple of downed fence panels while out with the dog.
It's definitely wet and windy, although not at defcon 10 just yet.
I've noticed that Google weather has downgraded the windspeed here to 20-30 mph - that's a quarter to a half of last night's forecast.
