Yes you could be right, but i suppose they couldn't care if anyone over say 30 years old doesn't join either. I think they operate a subtle policy of age discrimination. Maybe i should approach the Accrington Observer about my thoughts.

Did they say when they would contact you by? It wouldn't exactly kill you to nip in or call them yourself. Manners and consideration go both ways.

Our local network of council run gyms has at most 2 people on the reception in each venue. They are definitely over worked, as are most council services. And with more cuts coming it's only going to get trickier.

I used to be, before I got back into cycling again, but once I did there was no competition for me. Exercise in the fresh air and enjoying the beautiful Shropshire scenery was a no brainer for me.

By the logic of some then Audax UK or a sportive organiser should give anyone over 55 a medical before they are allowed to enter. Imagine the outrage on here if that was the case.
