It is fully subscribed and there is no entry on the day.

Whilst I agree it is not a race this is something that will not and can not really be avoided, even reliability rides end up being a race, it is human nature.

Hang on just a minute. I am referring to the fact that several thousand riders are being told to ride at no less than 18 mph multiple times around an in part narrow, tight and pot holed course for 52 miles. Irrespective of if it is a race or not a slightly tongue in cheek comment of "it's gonna be carnage" does not mean you should berate me and totally misinterperate what I have said. If you look through the thread I think you will find plenty of people who do consider this to be some sort of time trial. I am not one other than complying with the organisers demand. Although why we need timing chips and the fact they will publish the times is somewhat contradictory to what they say it is.
